During the office move, I found a piece of treasure - an essay I wrote my junior year of college addressing what type of career I wanted to have upon graduation. What a treat to read!
Here is the first page:
My favorite part is: “I also believe that people can be an important source of knowledge and advice. I hope to learn a lot from the people that I encounter or work with.”
I thought it would be appropriate to share something so personal ahead of the upcoming Open House, as a token of appreciation, because you have helped me realize and achieve so many of the things that I stated in this essay - most importantly starting my own business.
Coincidentally, October also marks my 17-year anniversary of being a financial advisor. So much for getting bored and having 7-9 different jobs in my career! Joke's on me!
I am grateful for this career and the opportunity to serve you, your friends, your family, and your co-workers. Together we have created a beautiful community of clients whom I cherish greatly. I love that every client knows at least two other clients and I thought, this is worth celebrating!
Here are my top three reasons why I think you should come to the Open House:
- I have yet to meet some of you in person and I would love the opportunity to shake your hand or give you a hug!
- It’s important for you to meet Lumina and Liana as we transition to a team-based approach. I want to make sure that when either one of them calls or emails, you feel comfortable working with them.
- I am proud of the office build out. A lot of time, thought and effort was allocated to creating an inviting space where clients felt comfortable, safe and, most importantly, ready to act! In some ways it feels like I am inviting you to my home.
Finding this essay during a time of so much change and having a chance to reflect on the past 17 years has been a full circle moment for me. Thank you again for the trust you have placed in me, and I hope to see you on Saturday October 1st!
