Only 20% of all financial advisors hold the CFP® certification.

What's the difference between an independent advisor and a large financial institution?

After a Discovery Meeting, a prospective client shared something that really stuck with us:
"To be transparent, I've also met with Fidelity and MassMutual. This meeting was very different and considerably better."

That was wonderful to hear, but what mattered most was why they felt that way.

At SMB, we believe financial planning should be personal. We take the time to understand your goals, coordinate the moving pieces of your financial life, and build a relationship that extends far beyond managing investments.

When you work with our team, you can expect:

Personalized advice tailored to your goals.

Direct access to your advisor and support team.

Comprehensive planning that goes beyond your portfolio.

Guidance that's focused on your life, not just your investments.

Every client deserves to feel heard, understood, and confident in their financial future.
If you're exploring your options, we'd love the opportunity to show you what working with SMB is all about.

Benefits of Working with CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™

Not all financial planners are certified. In fact, only 20% of all financial advisors hold the CFP® certification.* The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ certification is conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and is recognized as a standard of excellence for personal financial planning. Obtaining a CFP® certification requires meeting experience and ethics requirements, successfully completing financial planning course work and passing the certification examination covering the following topics: financial planning principles, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits planning, and estate planning.

Additionally, practitioners must abide by a strict code of professional conduct and ethical responsibilities. Once certified, they must complete continuing education courses every two years to stay current with financial planning developments and best practices.

This credential demonstrates our commitment to our clients and to our profession — symbolizing the integrity, knowledge and service excellence we strive to deliver.
